On or about April 2020, the respondent agreed to represent a Massachusetts client in a claim against his former employer. In June 2020, the respondent filed a lawsuit on the client’s behalf. The respondent failed, however, to serve the complaint in the case for almost 18 months after the 90-day period required by Mass. R. Civ. P. 4(j) had elapsed.
