On or about June 2020, the respondent was hired by a client (Defendant) to represent her for a fee in a criminal matter in the Superior Court. However, contrary to Mass. R. Prof. C. 1.5(b), the respondent did not provide to her, before or within a reasonable time after commencing the representation, a writing communicating the scope of the representation and the basis or rate of any fees and expenses to be charged or collected.
